About us

Art With Heart is a philanthropic, student run club that showcases the work of young and talented artists who want to create a difference in the world.

Before this year´s virtual performance, Art With Heart was presented as a live show in Seabury Hall´s ´A´ali´ikuhonua Creative Arts Center, where students would perform live on stage, and artwork was showcased in the lobby.

Although we are unable to have a live performance this year, we are beyond grateful to have the opportunity to safely present all of our creations.

Our Team.

Ava Notarangelo
Ava is currently a junior at Seabury Hall, and has been involved with Art With Heart since she was in 8th grade. Ever since she was two years old, she´s loved to dance. When she first started, it was just a way to get out of the house, but as she got older, the dance studio turned into a second home. She danced with Alexander Academy of Performing Arts until she was 11, and joined Seabury  Hall´s dance program when she stared middle school, still dancing with AAPA whenever she gets the chance. She is now a member of the Seabury Hall Dance Ensemble, and loves spending her afternoons dancing with her friends. Along with dancing, she fell in love with theater lighting design just before she started high school. Before COVID hit, she spent most of her weekends at the theater both lighting shows and performing. Art with heart was the first show she operated the lights for, and she could not be more grateful for that experience. She has never danced for Art With Heart, but she did face her fear of singing in front of people during her Sophomore year, when she sang for an audience for the first time.

¨Although this year´s show isn't the same as past years, I am so proud and grateful of everyone who has helped with making Art With Heart a possibility, and I am beyond happy with this year´s outcome¨.

Jonathan ¨Ross¨ Peck
Ross is currently a junior at Seabury Hall and has been involved with Art With Heart since his Freshman year. Ross has been creating ever since he was young. Growing up in a Waldorf school, his education was intertwined with art. He remembers the excitement he felt each time my teacher introduced us to new art mediums: first crayons, then pencils, and later watercolors. It was during these experiences that he first discovered is passion for painting and drawing. Today, art continues to be a vital component in his life as a way to express his creativity. Creating his own pieces or seeing others’ work never fails to brighten his mood.

Sofia Arashiro-Garcia
Sofia is currently a senior at Seabury Hall, and has been involved with Art With Heart since her freshman year. She has been dancing since the age of three and continues to love every moment of it. She began dancing just for fun to keep her young self active, but came to realize that this was much more than that for her. As she got older she began to take dance more seriously being in the studio six days a week for at least three hours every day. Her skills began to progress and the company she was involved with began to compete at state competitions every year. When she joined Art with Heart her freshman year, never did she believe that she would be choreographing dances on her own and performing solos in front of the entire school, which was one of her greatest fears. Not only has this club allowed her to share my passion for dance with the community, but it has pushed her boundaries on what she can do in the performing arts. She is beyond grateful that she has been given the opportunity to be a part of this organization and to help lead this amazing event with her peers.

¨Art with Heart is such a special club and I hope it continues to prosper and allow the student’s passions to shine through on stage and through the artwork¨.

Jacob Devane
Jake is currently a Junior at Seabury Hall, and has been involved with Art With Heart since his freshman year. Jake’s relationship with art has largely grown out of a love for music. Jake’s interest in music began at a young age when he began to participate in the church choir at his elementary school. Upon arriving at Seabury Hall in the 8th grade he participated in both chorus and band before further choosing to spend both semesters of freshman year also in chorus. While sophomore and junior year haven’t left any time for further chorus involvement, Jake looks forward to hopefully rejoining chorus once again. In addition to singing, he enjoys playing both the guitar and the ukulele. Both of these instruments have become both outlets for stress and catalysts for joy. Music helps Jake to balance his life and he has cherished being able to help spread the art of Seabury Hall students this year as a leader for Art With Heart.

"I hope that Art With Heart will continue to adapt to the ever changing times and continue to help raise money for those in need through artistic expression".
