Mia and Camry - Somewhere

"Both during our own solos and when breaking out into individual experiences, represented by sporadic hand movements and different jump choices, our two characters behave in an independent manner associated with a slightly distanced feeling or lost disconnectedness, but then we find each other either as the song gathers intensity or melds into a resolved contrast. Throughout the choreography in unison, our characters embrace the fulfilling feelings of confiding in and uplifting each other as the lyrics describe a longing for finding shelter and belonging within the company of another human being. We also hope to portray the dilemma of how life can contain some difficult or chaotic phases, but the soul always seeks to experience memorable moments or periods in one’s life, which when reminiscing, appear as those that provided the greatest enjoyment as well. The element of hope that we intend to express in our movement along with the music epitomizes the message that we wish any viewer to take with them: keeping the spirits of oneself and others uplifted can offer crucial empowerment to our lives even when experiencing the deepest of misfortunes" - Camry Gach and Mia Davies
