Lost

"All alone, without guidance, we as people have to find our own way and do our own thing. However, sometimes we get lost with no one to rely on and nowhere to go. My intention for this photo is to capture the struggle of loneliness we go through. Even though it is easy to give up, it is important to never fall down and to keep moving forward. We must look towards the light to find ourselves and use that to get out of our own labyrinth".

Shadows
Photographs by Valentina Lewis
Nalani Wood
These photos were taken during my design through photography class. We were exploring and experimenting with shadows and objects. I decided to take black and white shots to capture the highlights and shadows of objects. One object I used was holographic streamers to portray a clear yet dark shadow on my model. The other object I used was flowers to displays a sort of texture.

¨Ever since I was in 8th grade, I´ve loved designing
lights for various shows at Seabury Hall´s
A´Ali´ikuhonua Creative Arts Center, where these
photos were taken. Over the summer, when I was
helping Kristian film his music video for ¨Half Past 3¨,
Tyler and I decided that we would take some photos
using the CYC and the gobos I had set up earlier in
the day, and we ended up with these¨.
